After a tiring journey to the island, we learned that the room we'd booked and paid for in advance months earlier had been overbooked. Nobody had told us. The owner apparently treats guests differently, regardless of how early they reserve. Then we were told there was no way to give us the room we booked, and that they had “misinterpreted” the room type we selected online. I can't decide whether that was horrendous or ridiculous. Either way, this wasn't worth the time or money, and it's not a place for a relaxing holiday.

We booked seven months before our visit, but after arriving we were told that room wasn't available. Mr. Cafer, the owner, refused to work with us and forced us to accept a much worse room than the one we had reserved. The service was absolutely disgusting. They can't even manage a three-room place, which is as ridiculous as it sounds. A complete waste of time and money.

The landlord was friendly and full of suggestions for places to eat and things to see. The location worked well for us, close to Bademli and Kalekoy. We paid €40 per night in May 2019 for a small 1+1 flat with everything we needed, and there was room for a big family. The kids loved the raised fireplace, so bring marshmallows. There’s a green garden to play in, too. Just be aware that a few flats don’t have a divider between the toilet and shower; the other rooms are fine.
