Hotel Lime Bozcaada

We stayed August 18-21 on an early booking, with four people for three days and three people for one day. On arrival, the owner, Mr. Metin, said he’d reserved our rooms at his other hotel, Lime Boutique. We hadn’t been told about this change. We first went to leave our things. The toilet was dirty, there was hair all over the floor, and the toilet tap wasn’t working properly. At first I thought I couldn’t fit, but it turned out rooms 1 and 4 had the same faulty tap, and all of us had the problem. After the beach, we were moved to upstairs rooms. Mine looked nice, but the shower drain was blocked and water rose above my feet. The shower head also sprayed from the hose. Mr. Metin fixed it when we told him, but I shouldn’t have needed to point it out. Breakfast was another disappointment. We’d been told it was buffet style, but what they set out for four people looked like food for two. The pastry tasted and smelled of lavender to all four of us, perhaps like mothballs, so we couldn’t eat it. The next day it arrived again with the same smell, and again we left it. They said we could have ordered extra, but why should I order something that wasn’t on the table and was bad? And if breakfast for four is served for two, why should I keep asking for more? When we requested bread, they brought very little. Everything felt limited. There was just one fig in the fig jam, which we had to cut in half. We got tired of having to ask. Much of the water in the rooms smelled of mothballs too. On day four, with our group down to three, we moved into a three-person room. The handwashing sink was blocked, and the third bed was a child’s bed. It was as wide as mine, but I couldn’t sleep at all. I put up with it for the night and didn’t say anything because following up on maintenance isn’t my job as a guest. Apparently customers were expected to tell him about everything, as if he couldn’t have known. Whenever we raised a problem, there was an excuse for it. Mr. Metin also kept saying, “We’ve never heard of anything like this before.” Pleasantries and smiles don’t make these flaws go away. After I pointed out issues on other days, Mr. Metin became cold and answered rudely. It upset me, and I just wanted the holiday to end. I’d hoped to get away from work stress and ended up more stressed instead. At least he helped with our luggage and tried to fix the issues once we mentioned them. Written by Tuba D.

We were glad we picked Lime Bozcaada Hotel for our holiday. Mr. Metin’s warmth and hospitality made us feel at home, and he gave personal attention to guests, smiling and responding to every request. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had high ceilings, making for a comfortable stay. We also really liked the traditional village breakfast served at the table. It was a lovely way to start the day. Many thanks for everything. I wholeheartedly recommend Lime Bozcaada Hotel to anyone staying in Bozcaada. 5/5 stars.

The location made our three-night girls’ trip easy, even without a car. We could walk to all the popular sights, and for the famous beaches the hotel called taxis to the entrance, which felt safe and convenient. Prices were quite reasonable for Bozcaada too. The place was clean, reliable, friendly, and peaceful, and we were especially impressed by how carefully management looked after guests. At breakfast we mentioned we couldn’t eat boiled eggs in the heat. They remembered and had a different option ready for us the next day. Such a thoughtful gesture. This is the only place I’ll keep choosing in Bozcaada, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

We picked the hotel at random for a one-night stay and were really pleased. It’s right in the center, about two minutes on foot from Çiçek Patisserie and five minutes from the ferry terminal. The rooms were spotless. I also liked how breakfast was served: no unnecessary piles on the plates, and hot dishes came out one by one as they were cooked. We’d definitely stay again if we return to Bozcaada. Thanks to everyone for a lovely stay.
