Kalispera Otel

The veranda room was such a good choice for us. It gave us the feeling of staying in a villa, and we left really pleased with our time at Kalispera Hotel. The place is airy, spotless, and the furnishings and hotel itself feel brand new. It's close to the center and the coves, with parking on site, and we had no trouble getting around. Breakfast had a great range, with different delicious things each day. The owners and staff were attentive and cheerful. Bozcaada hotels tend to have the same boutique style, but Kalispera Hotel stood out for us. Thanks for such a lovely holiday, Kalispera family 😊

I'm glad we stayed just one night. The room was small and poorly cleaned, the shower head was broken, and there was no shampoo, just liquid soap labeled as shampoo. We found no paper towels, napkins, or other cleaning supplies, and one of the two towels was stained, so we couldn't use it. Breakfast was mediocre too, and serving large food items during a pandemic felt risky. The price simply wasn't worth it, and I'd never return. Please take this seriously and don't go, you'll regret it. When we first arrived at Kalispera Hotel, the receptionist didn't even welcome us. The reception felt terrible. At a hotel, I'd expect a smile, let alone a complimentary drink, but apparently even a smile was too much. It's sad that places like this can stay open just because demand is high. The receptionist really needs training in communication and customer relations. It's a strange fit to work at reception if you don't want to speak to people. I usually read reviews when choosing a holiday, and this stay was a waste of money.

Seyhan Hanım's pastries were so good we even asked for the recipe 🧡 We stayed four days and were really happy with our visit. The room was very clean, and sitting out in the garden in the evening was lovely. It's a warm, family-run place, with delicious breakfast. You can stay here with complete peace of mind.

The breakfast was a complete disaster. In all the hotels I've stayed at, this was the worst: three kinds of cheese and one greasy flatbread, and nothing else. The price is absolutely not justified, and there are much better options for the money. We picked veranda rooms hoping to sit outside in the cool evening air, but the veranda is right in the middle of the garden, almost beside other guests. The room had only a bed and a TV so tiny you could barely see it. The refrigerator was so noisy we unplugged it and couldn't sleep. There weren't even empty glasses, so we drank from bottles. No shower gel, shaving kit, or toothpaste either. I'm listing this so you know what the place is like. Don't stay here if you come to Bozcaada, you'll regret it. I really regret choosing it.
