Pekcan Otel

The view was amazing, and our room was fairly clean. The stars, though, are all for the woman who looks after the rooms and makes breakfast. She was so kind, helpful, and hardworking. Her effort alone deserves more than five stars. The room we booked was meant for four, with one queen and two twin beds. The beds were there, but all pushed against the walls in a tiny space that felt far too small for four people. It came across more like a hostel than a hotel: there’s no lobby, and no way to reach staff 24/7. Across the street, another hotel is really loud, with music and other sounds going all the time. There was also a serious ant problem throughout the room. The woman helped us clean them up, but it seems like a structural issue that needs fixing. The room heating is shared, so the temperature is set and you can’t turn it up or down. That sucks, and it’s not how a hotel usually works. At breakfast there are just two indoor tables, so in the cold weather we had to wait for one to open up. I picked this place because of its high Google ratings, but it didn’t quite match what I expected. Stay for the view and the lovely staff service, but be ready for a very small room and verrrry limited amenities.
