Gonluferah City Hotel

Devran, Gurkan, and the rest of the staff gave us absolutely wonderful service. As always, this hotel is the best when it comes to service.

I'm staying here now, and came to see Uludağ mountain. The room smells of cigarette smoke and isn't clean enough. There was hair in it that wasn't mine. I raised it with reception, but they didn't fix anything and told me to open the windows to air it out, even though it was very cold outside. I'm really disappointed and wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

The location was the only thing I liked. After three days here, my experience has been very bad, and I could see this hotel dropping to three stars based on what happened. At check-in, despite my reservation for the new building, I was told there was no room and pushed toward the old building. After half an hour of discussion, they suddenly found one. It hadn't been cleaned well, and when I wasn't happy with it, they casually told me I could cancel if I wanted. They changed my room on the second day. Room service was another problem. I ordered bottles of water that cost extra, but they never brought them. After 45 minutes, I went to get them from the front desk myself. The internet kept disconnecting throughout all three days. And after I left my room for cleaning, I came back nine hours later to find the door left open. Thank God nothing was stolen.

The private VIP room was clean, there were plenty of towels, and they let us use it for the full hour we booked. We went to the hamam with the family and needed that room because we had kids. It had a tiny mineral pool, and the hour would have been a nice experience if not for the pricing. The night before, I asked in English by chat and at the email address they provided. D. SAHIN from the Spa quoted TL2,500 for the service. My wife's local friend had already booked the same thing for us and was quoted TL1,750. I wasn't going to complain about getting a better deal, but later checked the price list and saw the lower amount was the listed price. It's disappointing to see what looks like a foreign tourist premium at a reputable place that's already priced well beyond what the average local can afford.
