Ahsap Loya Hotel

I came for what was meant to be a short stay at Loya and ended up there for a month. It’s a hotel, but the atmosphere felt more like a homestay. The family who own it were so kind and treated me like one of their own. As someone who travels constantly as a digital nomad, finding a place like this is a rare treat. The rooms are clean, lovely, and very comfortable, with everything I needed: shampoo, soap and a hairdryer in the bathroom, hangers, plenty of outlets, and dim bedside lights. The wifi signal was great too. I’m vegetarian, and they made delicious meals to suit me. It’s also one of the most peaceful areas I’ve stayed in. Bim, a well-equipped grocery store, is a one-minute walk down the street. Camlihemsin is 6 km away and has a pharmacy, bank, and more grocery stores. The dirt roads and paths around the hotel are great for morning walks or runs. It was hard to leave!

The wooden design was nice, and I had a good experience. It’s a family business, and the staff were very friendly. I didn’t try breakfast. There were two downsides: no air conditioning and too many insects.

I spent three days here and had a really nice experience. Friendly staff, lovely decor, and good service.

A wooden hotel like this is an experience in itself. If you’re coming for forests, nature, and streams, staying in a regular cement hotel would be a mistake.
