Kervansaray Deluxe Hotel

We had a great time in the room, especially with the two-person bath and the marvellous view of the cascade. The price and service were good, as were the welcome and breakfast from the housekeeper. We recommend it.

Madam Hatice made us feel at home and was so welcoming. The location is ideal for reaching all the activities in Ayder, with an amazing view of the mountains and river. Rooms have quality furniture and an in-room Jacuzzi. Breakfast was the best, and tea was free all day.

I really wanted to leave a positive review because the owners were welcoming and kind, but it’s hard to overlook the problems. The WiFi is there in name only, it didn’t work at all, and I had to go somewhere else entirely to finish my work. It was also extremely difficult to communicate with the owners, who don’t know even a little Arabic or English. Every request had to go through Google Translate, and it didn’t always translate properly, so the whole process was a hassle. I genuinely don’t understand why the family managing the hotel leaves the elderly couple to deal with customers while the children only work behind the scenes. It’s sad to see the elderly couple carrying luggage up and down the stairs too. The things I did appreciate were the couple’s welcoming attitude, the breakfast they make, including simit that other hotels don’t offer, and the view of the waterfall and mountains.

The facilities were clean, and the staff were friendly and respectful. The hotel was excellent, really good.
