The restaurant team had just changed in June 2025 when my wife and I had dinner there. The food was very good and well cooked, and the goat milk was absolutely amazing. At the time, there wasn't a menu, so you could ask the prices before ordering. They also weren't taking card payments then, so carrying some cash would be helpful.

The host made the stay especially good, always kind and ready to help, and full of knowledge about the area's nature. Their suggestions led us to some breathtaking spots. The place itself is in a lovely position by a stream, just before the village, and the rooms are spotless, beautiful, and full of wooden character. Definitely recommend it.

We found some stunning places nearby thanks to the host, who knew the area well and was happy to help with anything we needed. The rooms feel warm and homey, with wood throughout, and they're stylish and clean. The spot by the stream just before the village is beautiful. Really recommend staying here.

The family who runs this guesthouse are lovely, especially if you take time to talk with them and hear their story. It sits a little above Ayder between the river and a quiet road, with great views down the valley. The rooms were clean, and the meals simple but tasty. The owner is clever and clearly a skilled builder. A good base for exploring the area.

The terrace looks out over lovely scenery, and the rooms are cozy and clean. You can get dinner there, and the staff were helpful. It's about 5 km up the mountain from Ayder's tourist center, so getting there can be a little tricky, but the setting makes it worthwhile. Great for hiking, taking in nature, and getting away from everything. The wifi isn't perfect, which feels understandable for a place like this. Highly recommend.
