Camyuva Beach Hotel

There were shops right outside, the bus stop was close, and the hotel had a beach bar with cocktails, soft drinks and more. The beach was very near, and the value for money was excellent. We had a really great vacation, with outstanding service. Tables were cleared quickly, and the receptionist, who spoke English and Russian, helped with every question. Barmen Ömer K. was especially kind. The buffet didn’t have much variety in fruit, and the music played very loudly all day. That might be fine if you don’t mind it.

We stayed 10 days at Camyuva beach hotel on an all-inclusive plan: me, my wife, our 20-month-old son and my mother. I’m always looking for value for money when I travel. We found the service, cleaning and child-friendly beach especially good. But if you need steady WiFi in the room or fine-grained beaches, this may not suit you. The staff were superb overall. When we arrived late, they offered food and drinks even though the bar and kitchen were closed, and almost everyone was genuinely friendly. Big thanks to Mehmet and Veli in the restaurant for helping make our holiday enjoyable. The woman who cooked everything herself at the beach bar did a great job too. One exception was the older man at the beach bar. He seemed mainly interested in tips and avoided doing work when he could. I asked for popcorn and he said he’d bring a big bowl, though I’d asked for a normal size. He brought the big bowl anyway and kept asking for a tip. He also wanted a tip after putting grapes in my mum’s wine. I don’t think he should work at this hotel, and I’d avoid him if possible. The cleaning was exceptional. The hallways always smelled great, and the rooms were cleaned meticulously. The rooms themselves are okay and everything works, but there’s some wear and tear. The wardrobe holds a lot of clothes, and the bathroom was clean and looked after, though also worn. The bed was too hard for me, and there’s only a power outlet on one side. Taking the room card out of its power slot cuts electricity to the whole room, including the fridge, so cold drinks weren’t waiting after a beach day. We had all-inclusive, with local alcohol available from 10:00-22:00, which was plenty for me. After a week, some dishes got repetitive, but there were lots of salads and fruit and about 6 different dishes to pick from, always including fish and some kind of pasta. At dinner the chef made something different on the grill each time, like chicken wings, steak or kebab. The food was above okay. I saw a sign saying the hotel served quality-controlled food according to an ISO standard, and noticed the approval was from 2014, ten years ago. The food was fresh and none of us got sick, but I’m just stating what I saw. There’s one large pool connected to two kinds of water slides, a small children’s pool with a slide, and another smaller pool for adults. It’s a great spot for kids or anyone else. The pool bar was nearby and had popcorn, and it was always easy to find a sunbed. The beach is only a couple of minutes away on foot. It’s a bit stony, so I’d recommend bathing shoes, but the small waves make it good for children. Sunbeds were easy to find there too. The beach bar serves snacks between lunch and dinner, which came in handy when our son got hungry. Most were deep-fried, but did the job. Lobby WiFi was fast and never a problem, even for streaming movies. Room WiFi was a joke, barely working: sometimes you could scroll social media, other times you couldn’t connect at all. I wasn’t satisfied with it. One other thing I noticed: they don’t seem to care much about being plastic-free. They serve large amounts of alcohol in plastic cups at both the pool and beach. The beach was incredible, the food delicious, and the ingredients seemed fresh, so if you worry about food poisoning, this felt like a safe choice. The staff were super nice, and the massages they offered were amazing. It’s a really good hotel, better than some five-star places. The only downside was one mattress that was rock hard. Apart from that, everything was amazing, and I really recommend it.

The hotel is worth the money. The beach is nice, with a bar and comfortable places to sit, and the staff are polite and very friendly. Rooms with balconies are okay for two people. I’d pick one by the pool, since the street markets start early and make noise. The kids’ entertainment is good, the internet coverage around the hotel was good, and the food was okay too.
