The biggest frustration for us was the spa staff. On our first day, before we’d even checked in, a woman kept pushing massages and oiling offers. The towel attendant wouldn’t give me towels until I’d heard his massage pitch, even after I said three or four times that I wasn’t interested. Another man, wearing a hat and glasses, bothered the children near the volleyball court at the kids’ park. One afternoon he sat beside my two kids on the swinging bench, and they got scared and left. When I asked him to move, he spoke arrogantly. That didn’t seem right to me. The reception also fell short. In the afternoon, we asked to rent tennis rackets for €10 an hour, and staff insisted we pay with banknotes rather than coins, even though we’d just received those coins as change at the hotel market ten metres away. It felt pointless and offensive, so I refused, and my son felt bad about it. The night receptionist was the opposite: polite, communicative, accurate and good at English. There was no air conditioning in the hallways or elevators either. Still, we had a fantastic holiday. The animation team was friendly and ran sports and cultural activities for all ages. The water polo referee could have controlled the game better 😄. The Turkish-Mediterranean food was varied and good quality, and the kitchen and dining room staff were serious and professional. Our rooms were clean and private, with the cleaners doing a good job. The boys and girls on the Animation Team especially made our days.

We had a pleasant, attentive service from the staff, and the swim-up villa was the best part of our stay. On the ground floor beside the pool, it felt like a small home, with two comfortable bedrooms, good privacy and a quiet, spacious, well-kept setting. The villa was cozy and equipped for a comfortable evening, though its bar only runs from 11:00 to 18:30, so there’s nowhere on site to eat or drink later after the beach. The beaches were fine, but the beach had only beer and perhaps lemonade. Fruit was meant to be available, though each time we saw just a few leftover apples. For anything else, we had to go back to the main area, which wasn’t convenient. The restaurant in the main building was older and basic, and it wasn’t always fully stocked, though the food was generally tasty. Juice at the bars was very diluted, the wine was okay, and the champagne at the other bars wasn’t good. One pool bar did have imported spirits such as whiskey. The Winehouse wasn’t operating. There was almost no entertainment, and the music was terrible. The night bar stayed open after midnight, but served mostly fries and burgers, with only three local spirits, vodka, brandy and gin. If something ran out, there was no alternative. The price was reasonable for what you got, especially if you just want a quiet villa by the pool with basic beach access and dinner. We preferred the nearby hotel we stayed at next, ( the norm oriental ), which had much better facilities across the board. I wouldn’t return. Villa: 4 ⭐️, main aria: 3 ⭐️.

Our room at the front had a balcony looking toward the mountains, while rooms on the other side overlook the huge pools. The room itself was wonderful, and the whole hotel was spotless. The lifts were clean and bright, and moved quickly and quietly. Cafes and bars are dotted around the beach, pools, hotel and spa. There was lots of fresh, imaginative food, with a particularly good selection of salads. Some hot dishes looked a little unusual to English eyes, but of course this is Turkey! Everything was nicely presented and the staff kept it well tended. At mealtimes, you can see a manager quietly keeping an eye on things and directing the team. I especially noticed Ilyos, a discreet but attentive waiter. It’s a beautiful hotel, superbly run and well staffed. A delightful place to stay.

There was no feeling of hospitality or care during my stay. Staff throughout the hotel were unfriendly, and customer service seemed like their last concern. When I raised problems, they were dismissed without any attempt to sort them out. The reception staff were especially rude and unprofessional, particularly one receptionist who seemed uninterested in helping guests. From arrival to departure, the whole experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I would never recommend this place. Anyone hoping for a welcoming, stress-free stay should avoid it.

There’s a decent choice of food, and the entertainment changes every night. It’s very good value for the money. My one complaint is the hotel supermarket: it quotes prices in euros, then charges in lira and adds extra money, seemingly to catch you out.
