The room itself was standard, but the toilet seat wasn’t stable and fell to the floor when I lifted the lid. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to friends or family. Do your research and book elsewhere. The place is very central, but driving and parking can be a nightmare when it’s busy. The road in front is too narrow and crowded to drive up, so we parked and walked over with our luggage for about 4-5 minutes on cobblestones. The allocated parking can also fill up with cars belonging to people who aren’t hotel guests. I asked for a non-smoking room because I have allergies, but the moment I entered the first room, I smelled smoke. The receptionist changed our room, though I could still smell it there too. She said all rooms were non-smoking, but some guests choose to smoke. That doesn’t make sense to me. If I book a non-smoking room, I expect one. Luckily, we were only staying a short time.

Reception staff were helpful, and we got an upgrade to the top floor with a terrace view. That was worth the extra $$10EU. The hotel also has a small elevator, which is a plus. The sheets and pillowcases were holey, though. It’s definitely central, and if you need somewhere to stumble back to in the early hours, it might suit your group. If you’ve had a big day and want quiet, you may prefer somewhere less party central. It was super noisy, so bring earplugs, they don’t supply them. Breakfast was a bit tragic, with flies buzzing around and a waiter more interested in his phone than the customers. The staff in the breakfast area and bar were rude and pathetic. We were waiting less than 5 minutes for our tour company to meet us when they kicked us out, so we had to wait in the sun on the street. LOL, the guy said he had to clean the bar because it opened at 4pm, even though it was only 1045. Then he just watched the cleaners work and did nothing.

It’s right by the water, bars, restaurants, and car ferry, with a great location and very friendly check-in. The rooms were clean and the shower was great. It’s above a pub, so it gets a bit noisy at night. A perfect base for Aussies travelling to Gallipoli.

The staff were kind and breakfast was fine, but the room’s condition was only OK. The soundproofing was so bad that sleeping was impossible. You could hear every sound from outside, including club music and people laughing after midnight on a weekday, plus water, talking, and knocking from next door. Even other guests on the same floor had no respect for quiet.
