The staff were the one good part, very polite. But the room was very cold, and many of us had trouble with the AC. There was cold water in the rooms too. Food was bad, even on New Year’s Eve. The only breakfast item I enjoyed was the omelette. There were no drinks like cola or Fanta at lunch, dinner, or even the lobby bar, where the choices were just coffee, beer, and some desserts. The internet was slow. In the room, there’s a glass partition from the shower with a view into the room, plus a button for the blind, but it doesn’t work in many rooms.

The rooms are small but fine, and they have air-conditioning. I liked the Starbucks drip coffee and cake promo for 220 lira, good value.

The room WiFi didn’t work, and my attempts to get help were met with indifference. Nobody came up to check it, which was frustrating. Since the TV depended on WiFi, that didn’t work either. I’d expected a comfortable stay, but there was no air conditioning available. Reception couldn’t help and said it wasn’t used during winter, which seemed illogical with October’s mild temperatures. I’m left wondering whether the hotel’s facilities and service are declining, and whether management knows about these issues or will offer a satisfactory solution during my stay.

Breakfast had plenty of options and was buffet-style. Even with lots of guests there, the staff cleared tables quickly and handled the crowd well. The room was small, though, and it’s surprising for a five-star hotel. There’s very little space in the bathroom shower, and the bed was a standard single, not even a super single.
