I’ve never written a hotel review before, but this has been my favorite stay so far. From the rooftop, we had the best view for hot air balloons, and the hotel looked over the old church rock ridges across the way. The setting felt serene and majestic. Mr. Ali, the owner, was so accommodating and kind. He felt like a father to us, offering ideas for where to go, what to do, and where to eat. We loved the little chats he always made time for. I’ll never forget the villagers celebrating my birthday with us at a nearby restaurant. It was overwhelming in the best way.

Çavuşin is quieter than Goreme, which suited us better. Goreme is fantastic, but it has lots and lots of tourists. If I get the chance, I’ll definitely return. The terrace was brilliant for watching the early morning balloons, and we loved the cave room, the fantastic breakfast, and the view of the ancient cave houses across the way. Ali was so friendly. It was lovely seeing his dog, Hera, and the new puppy enjoying themselves. He helped us arrange balloon flights, suggested the best days and prices, and sorted out the logistics. He also gave us good ideas for evening meals in the local area.

We left feeling like we’d made a new friend in Ali. My kids quickly got attached to him, he’s that warm and friendly. He had great local tips and was always ready to help whenever we needed something. My family and I spent a few vacation days at Atax Hotel with Ali and his wonderful team. Having traveled to around 40 countries, my wife and I can honestly say we’ve never met a host as kind, caring, and genuine. From the start, we felt at home. Ali takes care of every little detail and goes above and beyond to make your stay in Cappadocia perfect. The breakfast was amazing, and the rooftop view of hot air balloons at sunrise was breathtaking. We highly recommend staying here. If we return to Cappadocia, there’s no doubt we’ll stay here again. It was one of the best stays of our lives 💛

Balloon rides were sold out online, but the owner managed to book them for us. He also made it easy to settle reservations, recommended which attractions to focus on and when to visit them, and both he and his two sweet dogs were always there to greet us warmly and offer help. We spent all three nights of our Cappadocia visit here, loved everything about the stay, and will come back to this exact hotel every time we can.

Ali always looked after us, and the breakfast was the best in Cappadocia 😄 The staff were suuuuper friendly, and the place is beautiful. You can watch the balloons from the rooftop terrace in a really peaceful setting 🙏
