AĞARAN Wooden Houses

The family who owns Ağaran Wooden House made this stay special. They're kind, genuine, hardworking, honest, and full of love. They did everything they could to help us feel comfortable and enjoy our time. By the end of our 7 nights, we felt close to them. We'd chat and play games together in the evenings, and one night they arranged a traditional evening with local music and dancing just for us. Saying goodbye felt like leaving family. Honestly, meeting them alone would have made the stay worthwhile. The setting is stunning, with Ağaran Waterfall so close that it felt like our own private pool. We could hear and watch it all day and take a dip whenever we wanted. Breakfast on the balcony came with a mountain view that felt magical. We were there in August, and the rain made the forest and earth smell even fresher. The house was very clean, and the towels and bed linens smelled fresh too. The evenings were cool, which was just right while we were escaping the summer heat, and sleeping under a warm blanket was a joy. I worried at first that being high up on a mountain would make it hard to find food or get to town, but it wasn't a problem. A few nearby restaurants have great views, and one served especially delicious food. If we needed a ride, we could call and a small minibus would come to the house. It takes around 30 minutes to reach Çayeli center, where you can go elsewhere or join local tours. They helped us have a real Black Sea vacation: seeing beautiful places, picking tea, visiting a tea factory, talking with locals, singing folk songs, and more. We'll always remember our time here with a smile and lots of love.
