Çam Otel & Restaurant

There's a friendly Syrian man named Yusuf in a small cabin at the front of the motel grounds. The building itself has no staff, but he handles bookings and welcomes guests. For the price and location, I think the place is worth it, though you'll probably need to do some extra cleaning yourself and clear away a few spider webs. The layout is basically a studio apartment. The bed is in front of you when you enter, with a balcony and amazing view. On the left is a small kitchen, and the toilet is just behind it. The kitchen has basic utensils, a microwave, fridge, and gas stove, but it wasn't spotless, so wet wipes might come in handy. There's a small seating area with a couch and a large TV. The 1.5 ton air conditioner may be useful in the evening, since it gets very cold in this area, even in summer. We went in June, and nights were really cold. The toilet can be slippery when wet because of its glossy surface, so be careful after showering. Our room's toilet also had no exhaust fan, which could be a real bother.

The host was really friendly, and the hotel was nice.

I loved the balcony and garden, and the apartment was big and sunny. The location is beautiful and peaceful, the staff were nice, and the bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. The cleanliness let it down, especially in the bathroom. The extra bed was very uncomfortable, and there were spider webs everywhere that nobody bothered to clean.

The area was full of garbage and smelled bad, and the room wasn't worth staying in. It was falling apart, with broken furniture, dirty sheets, and a worn, burned sofa. The room smelled extremely dirty. I felt sick when I saw the inside of the microwave. The main door handle was broken, and opening it with the key took a lot of effort. Check-in was meant to be at 2 pm. I called in the morning to ask if the room could be ready early, but they said it wouldn't be ready by 2. When we arrived at 2, they said it would take five minutes. We waited half an hour, then another twenty minutes. We would have gone to one of the many other places nearby if we hadn't paid in advance. After they saw we were irritated, they finally took us to the room, but left us sitting on the balcony for another 35 minutes while the cleaner finished. There was a lot of banging around in the room before she left. Don't waste your money.
