The carpets were filthy, the bathrooms were awful and smelled of sewage, and even the dishes had a rotten smell. I felt completely uncomfortable and wouldn’t recommend staying there. Cleanliness was basically zero. They showed us a fancy video, then put us in the worst apartment, and did the same to other people staying with us. The view and location are the only decent things, but Uzungöl has great views everywhere, so I don’t count that as a plus. Just terrible, and I’d never return.

Mr. Ahmed, the owner, is kind and friendly. The hotel itself is average and could use renovation, more attention, and a wider range of services. There’s no washing machine or cooking utensils, though it does have a bidet. The price feels high compared with hotels at the same level. For booking in Uzungol, I think it’s better to book directly instead of using an intermediary.

I exchanged money there today, June 2, 2025, and got 950 lira for 100 riyals. At the airport, the same 100 riyals got 850 lira.

The room they gave us seemed to be among the worst options, based on what Ahmed at reception told us. He said we should complain to Booking.com. The apartments are outside and reached by difficult stairs, so I wouldn’t book through Booking.com. The photos don’t match the actual place, and cleanliness was only average. There’s no air-conditioning, but opening the window isn’t really possible because of all the insects. A ceiling window sits above the bed, and once dawn prayers are over, the sun shines right in your face, making it hard to sleep.

What a disgraceful, disgusting thing. Thanks to the hotels that are ruining the scenery of my beautiful country. May the Arabs not hang them!
