I left after the first night because the stay was so bad. I’d asked for two beds in the reservation, and that’s what I was promised, but there was only one. They added another bed, with its frame propped on rocks. In the middle of the night it tipped over while I was going to sleep, and I injured myself. There wasn’t a soap dispenser in the room, just soap in a bottle. The door handle barely worked, and we spent minutes wiggling the key each time to get the door open. The workers were hardworking, but the owner was rude and arrogant. We asked in good faith for a refund for the remaining night and were refused. I called booking.com to report it, and they said a full refund would be appropriate, but the hotel ignored the booking site. The owner called me afterward and asked where I was. I have video proof. He said we should talk face to face. I told him to back off and explained the problems. He claimed I probably fell because I was drunk, which I wasn’t, and said he had tons of hotels and made a lot of money. When I told him to stop and give me my refund, he said they only had a two-month season. That’s a lie. It’s a shame that someone like this represents one of my country’s most beautiful cities.
