I’m writing this while lying in my room. Check-in was really quick, and my pool-view room is spacious and super clean. The pool is clean and roomy too. Breakfast was good, with a nice view from the restaurant. The staff are welcoming and speak good English, which is always nice to have in Turkey. Parking is right in front of the entrance and easy to use. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget.

I stayed here twice, first when the hotel opened and then again the next year. The first stay would have been 4.5 stars for cleanliness, location, and comfort. The second was the worst. I’d booked half board, but dinner was staff meals, so we simply didn’t eat. We had to switch rooms three times in two nights because the toilets weren’t working properly. They said there was Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, but it didn’t work in about 70% of the place. In short, don’t go unless you like surprises.

This year I’ve stayed in more than 50 hotels, and LoveYou Hotel was easily the worst, because of both the building’s poor condition and the staff’s serious incompetence. When I arrived, the toilet hadn’t been cleaned. There was urine and feces on the rim. I told a maid, but nothing was done. At check-in I also asked for water to be brought to my room. After an hour I went downstairs and asked again. The receptionist was surprised it hadn’t arrived and said he’d send it right up. I stayed two nights and never got any drinkable water, even though tap water in the country can’t be consumed without boiling it. At 1 a.m. on the second night, I returned to find all my belongings gone, as if I’d checked out. Reception told me to deal with it in the morning. I insisted on at least getting a toothbrush and toothpaste, but the dental kit took 45 minutes to arrive. In the morning I was told the maid had mistakenly thought I’d checked out, despite my things still being in the room. She had thrown away everything except a shirt, underwear, and a pair of socks, which were returned to me. She got defensive and yelled at reception, saying she couldn’t have known I was still there because she hadn’t found any luggage bag. The receptionist said there was a communication problem with the maids, who were all hired from Moldova and didn’t speak Turkish. Even after the maid had supposedly cleaned out the room, neither waste basket had been emptied, the toilet was still dirty, and the same stain remained on the pillowcase, suggesting it hadn’t been changed for the next guest. There was no Wi-Fi signal in the room, despite the advertising. The refrigerator was plugged in but didn’t work, the bathroom mirror was cracked, and the safe wouldn’t lock. The shower door wouldn’t close, so water sprayed onto the floor, and the shower itself was extremely dirty and rusty. I spoke with several other guests, and every one was just as repulsed by the hotel’s condition and unhappy with the staff’s lack of attention and complete absence of customer service.

Best hotel in Cesme, and the service was fantastic!
