The room was clean, but it was very plain and didn’t really feel like a boutique hotel. For the price, I’d expected more charm and attention to detail. The night receptionist was genuinely friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was nice, which we appreciated. The hotel sits beside a road, so there’s some car noise, especially at night. At checkout, we’d been told 12:30, but someone knocked at 12:35 and asked us to leave. That wasn’t a great way to end the stay. It’s okay if you want a clean place with a smile, but we expected more for the price, including a better location.

It’s a lovely, clean place with such a warm atmosphere that it feels more like home than a hotel. The staff are really friendly and helpful. I’d definitely suggest staying here, it’s a must try, and I’m planning to come back.

The garden and pool are nice, and the rooms have plenty of space. But it’s quite expensive for a hotel right beside what feels like Alacati’s busiest street. The traffic noise makes it very hard to sleep in the front-facing rooms.

What made our stay special was the staff, who made my family feel at home. We were two adults and two kids and stayed at Casa Rubino Hotel for about a week, during the off-season when it wasn’t busy. Oldtown and Marina were within walking distance, and the stone-house design fits the area. There’s a courtyard pool for anyone skipping the beach, with a bar and breakfast room nearby. You can order toast, bar food, and a couple of cocktails by the pool. Breakfast was amazing, with regional cheeses, olives, French toast, different marmalades, and eggs made how you like. The rooms are basic but comfortable, with AC and TV. Bring mosquito protection, there are lots of them. Thanks again to all the staff!
