The setting was lovely, but the food was pretty ordinary. We waited over 30 minutes, and the spaghetti was far too oily and had no flavor. They didn't bring us any bread either. Coming here turned out to be a poor choice, and it didn't live up to what we expected.
We came without a reservation, but the kind staff still found us a table. The atmosphere was lovely, and it's a great spot for a romantic dinner. We started with a really good fresh salmon carpaccio, then had grilled prawns and octopus with eggplant purée. The octopus was incredible, I highly recommend it. We also tried a Turkish white wine, a pleasant discovery. The wine list is good, and we chose three fish dishes along with some sides.
The mussels in wine sauce are my top pick, and the mezes were tasty too. When you book, ask for the courtyard. It's much nicer than sitting out on the crowded street.
The house wine was very good, and the steak with mushrooms was good too. Both the grilled octopus and fried calamari were fresh and tasty. The place was okay overall, but all three cold starters tasted too sour to me. They automatically add 10% service to the bill.
In my opinion, this is probably one of the best seafood restaurants in Alacati.
