We urgently needed a restroom, but the owner wouldn't let us use it and threw us out. A polite explanation would've been understandable. Instead, this dark-haired, bald man, as he introduced himself, treated us as if we were the ill-mannered ones. Our beautiful Izmir deserves better from a business owner.

There's a small hot spring area at the far end of the marina, mostly used by regular summer visitors, many of them retired. If you find a free corner, Turkish classical music makes for a lovely time there. The municipality has also recently built a clean road to deal with discarded glass, bottles, and other plastic waste.

The reception was empty when we went in to use the restroom, and nobody was inside. After we entered, a man came in, humiliated us, and kicked us out of the hotel. He introduced himself as the owner, dark-haired and bald, and had absolutely no courtesy. I was born and raised in Izmir, and I've never run into a business owner like that before.

We were already looking for a hotel, but after this we decided against staying here. We'd parked nearby to go swimming when we urgently needed a restroom. I checked the reception, but it was empty. A short, dark-haired man with sparse hair was sitting by the door. He said he was the owner, asked where I was going, told me I couldn't use the restroom, and kicked us out. We told him directly that he had very low character. People from Izmir aren't like this, and I hope he's someone who moved here from elsewhere. The whole thing was completely inappropriate.
