If you’re after a historic place to stay, you probably shouldn’t expect especially good facilities. The city is full of accommodations set in old houses, with a few rooms and walls made from old stone.

The hosts were a married couple who were lovely and helpful. Without us asking, they brought glasses for our wine, took our fruit to wash and cut it, and offered us some of their snacks. We really didn’t expect that kind of hospitality. If you’re reading this, hello! You’re great! :) They also helped with all our questions. There’s a bar across the street where you can order cocktails. We drove around Turkey in September 2025 and stayed here for five days. The hotel felt small, cozy, and central. The rooms aren’t newly renovated and show some wear, but that suited the old-world charm. Evenings get lively, with well-dressed crowds filling the nearby streets, along with perfume, loud conversations, laughter, and music. You probably won’t get to bed early, though it all quiets down around 1:00 a.m. We had breakfast at the outdoor tables, and it was tasty, filling, and nicely presented. We also tried nearby restaurants and cafés, where wine and snacks were expensive, then bought the same wine at a third of the price, along with fruit, at a shop and sat right by the hotel. We drove to beaches, including in Cesme. In September, strong, cool winds can blow across the peninsula, and the Aegean Sea is very cold. You can’t park close to the hotel because access to the center is closed. There’s parking on the next street, about 100 meters downhill, but late at night it fills up. Sometimes we had to park two or three blocks away and walk about 10 minutes.

Breakfast was a highlight, with lots of choice and something for everyone, all lovingly prepared. The staff were attentive and made us feel at home right away, with a welcoming family feel. On our honeymoon, we stayed in a beautifully furnished, authentic room that looked just like the photos. The central location made it easy to get to many places on foot. We wholeheartedly recommend it. What an unforgettable stay!

Gulsen and Hakki don’t speak English, but they went out of their way to help us and make sure we enjoyed our stay. From the excellent breakfast at the outdoor tables to replacing the showerhead right away and offering us a free upgrade, they made us feel well looked after. A charming boutique hotel in the heart of Alaçati. Highly recommended.
