A great place to stay, highly recommended.

The place was clean, though climbing the stairs was the one drawback since there’s no elevator.

We paid 4,000-4,500 TL for a room with breakfast. At this central location, newer and more comfortable hotels with better rooms start around 8,000 TL, so this works if you’re keeping the holiday budget low and mainly need somewhere to sleep and shower. The savings can go toward good food, beach service, boat trips, and other activities. There are higher quality places for people looking for more comfort, of course. For us, it did the job, and the drawbacks weren’t a big worry at night. The building and rooms are quite old, and I wouldn’t recommend it for families with young children. We were two parents and our adult child. The rooms have the basics for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning, TV, and a mini-fridge, though the air conditioner is noisy and the TV didn’t work. The shower cubicle is tiny but usable, and the beds aren’t very comfortable. After swimming and sightseeing all day, we were tired enough to sleep anyway. The balconies are there, but the bed blocks much of the doorway, so getting out sideways to hang towels takes some effort. Room size and how many people are staying matter, so choose carefully and ask reception about the options. The location is very central, with Çeşme Bazaar and the marina about a 20-minute walk away. Transport is close by, and getting to the bays and beaches is easy.

We checked out on the third night of a four-night stay. The breakfast wasn’t enough for us, so we ate elsewhere. The shower also needs work: my wife weighs 100 kg and has a large belly, and we had to push her into the shower. With improvements to the rooms, showers, and breakfast, this place could be great, especially given how close it is to the city center. The first night, cockroaches got into our room and we were too scared to sleep, so we changed rooms. The next day the gas stopped working and we had to move again. On day three, another room had a strange smell from the air conditioner, and we worried it might be poisoning us. The staff weren’t indifferent, though the hotel has shortcomings. I think the employee was Mr. Kurtuluş. He was wonderful and tried right away to meet our requests. He brought towels when we needed them and arranged the room changes quickly. We really appreciated his help.
