Kesre Otel Alacati

The location was fantastic, right in the town center on a very quiet street. Staff went out of their way to help, from explaining where the bus had dropped me off to getting a taxi and helping me after I’d left. The owners were available with extra help as well. My room was nicely furnished, the bed was just right, and the whole hotel was very clean. I liked the small bathroom, it was perfect for what I needed, with very hot water and clean linens. I also liked that there was no TV. Who wants to watch TV on vacation? I’d highly recommend this boutique hotel.

We’ve stayed twice now, and I’m starting to think I’d like to move to Alacati. The town is wonderful, and Kesre hotel is a beautiful, relaxing place, with an old stone building covered in greenery. The rooms are airy and very nice. Figen and Ogulcan are fantastic hosts. They went far out of their way to arrange bus bookings to historic sites nearby, make restaurant reservations, and even get us a pair of trousers from the local market. Mornings meant a long, delicious homemade breakfast in the sunny garden, with olives, cheeses, honey, traditional omelettes and pastries, homemade jams, and sucuk sausages. After a few hours exploring town, a nearby village, or the seashore, or simply relaxing in the garden, we’d have tea from Figen and Ogulcan around 6pm, with a wonderful homemade cookie that changed every day. I can’t recommend this place enough!

The hotel works well for a night, especially if you want to drink in central Alaçatı without worrying about transport. The air conditioning was already on when we entered, which was a nice touch. For a longer stay, though, not having breakfast is a drawback. It should be included in the price, especially since nearby hotels offer breakfast and a pool for the same amount.

Being able to walk around easily was a real plus, and everything was very clean. The concept just wasn't quite our thing, though. I'd still recommend it.
