Mavi Liman Otel

We’ve stayed here four times now, and it’ll be our pick again next time we visit Cesme. The marina is just a few steps away, and breakfast has been great every time. The hosts are lovely and welcoming, and have made this feel like a cozy family hotel where you can feel at home.

We had a great week at Mavi Liman. Senem, Serap, Emir and Feridun are lovely, and you can tell they run the hotel together as a family. I really enjoyed staying here. It’s in a residential area, so it was usually quiet, with plenty of free street parking. The town centre is a convenient 10-12 minute walk away. The room and bathroom were tiny by Turkish standards, though fine for me. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the A/C worked perfectly, and the towels were sparkling clean. A trash bin in the room and a shower caddy would have been useful. Breakfast was simple rather than fancy, but tasty, fresh, clean, and filling. There was unlimited Turkish tea, herbal teas, boiled eggs, sausage or Turkish salami, local cheeses and olives, fresh fried dough, a couple of jams that weren’t homemade, plus melon and watermelon. A fantastic breakfast for a budget hotel. If you want somewhere comfortable on a budget, Mavi Liman is a good fit.

I only stayed one night, and really wish I’d discovered the hotel sooner. The room and bed were both comfortable, and the owners were so nice. Xenia, I hope I’ve got your name right, thank you for the lovely breakfast and for sharing your stories with me. Wishing you all the best!
