Vela Garden Resort

In a beautiful part of Çeşme, Vela Garden Hotel and Ilıca Hotel are lovely places for families. The staff are friendly, and the hotel facilities are good. I recommend them.

The friendly, attentive staff are a plus, and getting to use Ilıca Hotel’s beach, pool, and water park is the biggest draw. I’ve been coming for a week each summer for the last three years, and it’s a place we love. The facility itself is nice, but I don’t understand why it hasn’t been invested in. The rooms and equipment need updating. I’ve stayed in both a standard pool-facing room and a budget room, and they were all the same. While Ilıca Hotel’s amenities remain available, it’s a good choice.

The rooms are old and smell damp, and there are only three or four plates, forks, and glasses. They’re very close together, too, with so little space that getting any rest feels impossible. Families seemed to ignore that other guests had paid to stay there as well. Children ran around and shouted, making incredible noise until very late, while the hotel did nothing. There’s a light outside the rooms near the ceiling that they don’t turn off. It’s midnight now, and where we’re trying to sleep looks like daytime. There’s no light inside, but it’s still incredibly bright. I’m attaching a photo. We wanted to sleep, but couldn’t. Using Ilıca Hotel’s beach felt like torture we had to endure, and whether it was worth it is debatable. After this review, Mr. Gökhan from Ilıca Hotel contacted us right away and spoke to my wife in person. He apologized for the trouble and said the necessary steps would be taken. We appreciated his understanding and positive attitude very much, and thank him.

Getting around was easy, and the location and atmosphere made for a wonderful, fun holiday. Everyone was helpful, especially Mr. Mehmet, who was friendly and answered our questions both before and during the trip. Every place needs people like him. Thank you so much!
