Villa Kore Slow - Adults Only

The beach right outside, with chairs and umbrellas reserved for hotel guests, made this a 10/10 stay. The staff were incredible, hospitable, and made us feel so welcome. We’ve been to more than 10 hotels during our travels this past month, and this one is among our favorites. We’ll be back!

The concept is okay, but the hotel fell short in just about every way. The rooms were old, dirty, and sandy, as if they hadn’t been cleaned properly, or at all, and it wasn’t worth the money. As two young women, we also felt uncomfortable with some male employees making very weird and inappropriate comments, including asking to join our dinner or night out. Very unprofessional. Taxis aren’t available, so it’s best to come with your own car.

The beach was spectacular and my room had an amazing view. The staff were kind, friendly, and flexible, especially Berkay. Muhammet was very thoughtful too, bringing me cold baklava when I checked out. Thanks so much for the hospitality.

Our family booked a standard room at Hotel Villa Kore in Cesme, Turkey, for 16 days, and the experience was disappointing. The room looked very different from the online photos, so we paid to upgrade, but the new room had dust and sand on the floor. Housekeeping tried to clean it, but it still felt dirty. We found several problems with the room and its amenities. The fridge didn’t cool properly, and the bathroom sink only gave scalding hot water, which felt unsafe for us and our child. The keycard also malfunctioned. There was no lock on the inside of our room, and no staff member available on the other side where we were staying, which left us concerned about security. We could hear our neighbors easily, and furniture being moved during breakfast preparation woke us early every day. The room’s “closet/wardrobe” was just a metal hanger on the wall. This was especially awkward since the hotel said it could provide an extra bed for children, but the rooms clearly weren’t big enough for one. The toiletries were poor too: awful soap and shampoo, flimsy slippers, and a low-quality shower cap. When we asked about laundry, staff suggested separating our clothes and sending them to a house to be washed instead of offering an on-site service. The advertised private beach access amounted to a stretch of sand only 2 meters long. We were unhappy enough to ask to cancel the rest of our stay and get a refund, but the hotel refused, citing a “contract.” That felt inflexible, especially given what we saw as misleading advertising and the problems we’d experienced. From our stay and the responses we saw to other complaints, the hotel didn’t seem committed to addressing customer concerns or improving its service. I can’t recommend Hotel Villa Kore. Cesme is beautiful and has other accommodation options, so I’d look elsewhere for comfort and safety.
