Yaso's By The Sea

Coming from the U.S., I wasn’t sure where to book in Çeşme, but Yaso’s By The Sea turned out to be exactly the right choice. It’s a special little locally owned boutique hotel, with a warm, personal feel and staff who made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. The beach is right there, and the hotel was wonderfully relaxing, with a fantastic cafe. I’m grateful I found it and plan to come back to Türkiye and stay here again.

We’d happily return to Yasos. The quiet private beach was lovely, and Cedric even brought beers over to us there. Getting around and settling in were easy: parking was simple, the air conditioning worked great, and the staff helped unload our bags and took care of us at meals. The food was delicious, too. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with slippers, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. The terrace had a table and four chairs, plus a full couch and lounger. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Yaesmin stayed late to greet us, speaks perfect English, and had already been quick to answer on WhatsApp before we arrived. She also helped with directions and recommendations. It’s a family-run boutique place with a distinctive feel, away from the usual tourist bustle.

It feels more like being at home than staying in a hotel. The workers and owner were polite and friendly, and we had a good time there. We’ll be back next summer. Recommended.

The way the staff and owners handled things was bizarre and unprofessional. They couldn’t arrange a cab or even tell us how to get one or suggest another option. We also saw a cat walking across the kitchen counter where food is prepared. I was outraged by the whole experience, and the nicely lit, cropped photos don’t show what it’s really like. We arrived late and had booked through a third party, so with availability limited, we couldn’t move elsewhere. The rooms were dirty and the sinks disgusting. They advertise this as a four-star “resort,” but it looked like the ground floor of a beat-up residential building. For a price on par with, or higher than, a boutique hotel, we got less than you’d expect at a campsite. It felt like a straight-up scam. I can’t describe how terrible it was. I’d give it -5 stars if I could. DO NOT STAY HERE. This place should be illegal.
