Bellerofon Hotel

I gave this hotel five stars based on what I enjoy, and fancy five-star places aren’t my thing. After two days, the heat and casual feel had me adjusting my expectations to a more laid-back pace. If you expect fast service and spotless rooms, go to a posh hotel. But for somewhere friendly to unwind, without thumping music, with generous breakfasts, kind staff, and a fabulous view, this is the place. It’s not faultless, but I’ve no complaints about this charming hotel, which is really air-conditioned cabins. The restaurant serves great food, and not enough people seem to know about it, so it’s a good spot for a quiet dinner even if you’re not staying here.

The beach is about a two-minute walk, and the shore is a mix of sand and rocks, so slippers or sea shoes are a good idea. They have umbrellas and sunbeds, which is handy. The local cats are cute and friendly. The little houses are a great size and the beds are comfortable. It’s a magical, peaceful place with friendly staff and really delicious food at the local restaurant. If breakfast is included, you won’t regret it, there’s lots of it and it’s very fresh. The grocery store is around a two-minute walk, and town center is pretty close, about 15 minutes on foot. Highly recommended for a relaxing holiday. We’ll definitely come back.

The path leads straight to the beach, where you can watch the sun rise from the sea and then head back to bed. It feels like a real immersion in nature, with lush vegetation and a lot of tranquility. The rooster crowing doesn’t count as noise. Staff are always around if you need help, and the generous typical Turkish breakfast gives you a good start to the morning. The location is convenient in every way. A travel agency that also arranges bike hire is only 20 metres from the entrance, and there’s a convenience store even closer.

Halit was completely amazing, and the breakfast was incredible. We had an amazing stay at Bellerofon, would recommend it to everyone, and would definitely stay again if we come to Cirali.
