The hosts sent us off with a bag of mandarins from their tree, and we really didn’t want to leave. They were so welcoming and generous that we felt right at home. The homemade breakfasts, including orange marmalade, were the best food we ate in all of Turkey. We rented bikes to pop into town or head to the beach, which worked perfectly. This was our favourite place to stay on the whole trip. We had the best time here!

The meals are freshly cooked and excellent, with homemade jams and sauces at breakfast and every other meal. Try the food Jale makes, it’s unlike anything you’d expect, and her cooking is legendary. They also sell handicrafts. The lodge is kid-friendly, the rooms are very clean, and the location is safe, peaceful, and close to the beach. Jale and Recep looked after us so well and are the most hospitable hosts I’ve come across. They’re very accommodating with children, too. If you’d like to learn about Turkish culture while enjoying wonderful hospitality, book without a second thought. We’re already planning to come back.

The calm, cozy atmosphere and generous, delicious breakfasts make this place special. You can have dinner here too, and the homemade meals are far better than what we found elsewhere. There’s air conditioning and WiFi, and laundry is available for a small fee. Recep and Jale are kind, generous hosts who provide what you need for a comfortable stay. The birdsong and fresh air made mornings and evenings especially lovely, and the view from my bright room looked out over mountains and orchards. I felt very comfortable in Recep and Jale’s home. They’re genuinely hospitable and thoughtful, and even surprised me for my birthday, which touched me a lot. There’s a kitchenette if you want to cook, and Jale made delicious, interesting food. Since I’m vegetarian, she put together a big green salad with herbs from her garden for breakfast, along with local and dried fruit and herbal tea. They also offered me a bicycle, which was handy for getting around Chiraly. I felt like I was staying with relatives. I’d recommend it!
