The veranda is a lovely place for breakfast, shaded in the morning, though it’s hard to sit there before sunset. Restaurants are nearby by car, but too far to reach on foot. The lane to the property is narrow and bumpy, like a forest road. Even so, it’s a beautiful secluded house, and I’d recommend it. I stayed in the villa beside the hammam. The architecture stands out, and the surrounding nature is lovely. There’s a private pool looking out over the dam lake and forest, plus covered parking. Inside are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchen.

This might suit you if you’re retired and don’t mind the water going out at least 3 times a week. There’s no supermarket or takeaway, apart from the crappy restaurant next door. The air conditioner smells so bad you won’t want to turn it on, and there aren’t any social activities.
