We never felt clean during our three days there. The bathroom was revolting, dirty, and smelled awful, and the shower was filthy with no toiletries provided. The kitchen was old, dirty, and poorly equipped. The apartment clearly hadn't had a proper clean in a long time. There wasn't even a welcome bottle of water. Only the living room had air conditioning, and the bed was just acceptable. We wouldn't return. You can find somewhere better.

Our guest needed a room with a sea view, so we went to check the property first. Some rooms had a direct view, others a partial or side view, and they couldn't promise which one she'd get that day. Without a view, the hilltop location didn't make sense for a single guest. Mr. Suleyman had greeted us warmly on the phone and said he'd get us a good deal, but after he put us in touch with his employees, things became confusing. On check-in day they sent us to another of their hotels and said it was the partial-view room. That was disappointing, especially since our guest had said several times she didn't want that. We were left to walk away without any apology.

At around 40 euro in September 2022, these modern apartments are a real bargain. They're roomy, clean, comfortable, and have all the mod cons, plus a good-sized balcony. A short flight of steps takes you into Datca. The only drawback is that the air con is in the living room only, though leaving the door open keeps the bedroom cool enough.

We spent several weeks at Beyaz Konak while buying a property in Datça and couldn't have picked a better place. The location is central, the price is budget-friendly, and the views are among the best in town. The apartments are spacious and well equipped, and felt cosy and warm in the cool winter weather. There's air conditioning for summer, too. The owner and staff are friendly and quick to respond, and so are the neighborhood cats and dogs. We'd happily recommend it for a short visit or, as in our case, a couple of months.
