We're a couple from Switzerland and spent a few days on holiday in Datça. The weather wasn't cooperating, so we decided on the spur of the moment to try a wellness program. Our hotel suggested Cairo Health Valley Spa Resort, and we managed to book an appointment for that same day. We were warmly greeted when we arrived. Receptionist Hilal showed us around the spa in a friendly, professional way and took care to see that we had what we needed. A special mention for the masseuse Mukaddes. She treated us with skill, sensitivity, and warmth in the hammam and during the massage afterward. It was relaxing and soothing, just right. We felt very comfortable at Cairo Health Valley Spa Resort and would gladly return on our next visit to Datça.

The people made this stay special. Fatma took wonderful care of me during the sauna, steam room, hammam and massage, and her advice and kindness meant a lot. Hilal was professional and kind too, and Halil gave me a warm welcome. Yener and Doğkan at the restaurant were lovely, as was the cleaning team, who did an incredible job. I came hoping for a quiet place to recharge and found a green, beautiful setting, with clean, comfortable, well-equipped rooms.

We've stayed here twice and are still just as happy with it. The peaceful atmosphere, tucked into nature, makes it easy to feel at home, and the staff are helpful, capable, and quick to anticipate what you need. Breakfast is a real highlight, with a great range of good food. The modern rooms are very clean, and housekeeping is available daily if you ask. The pool is cleaned every day too. I'd gladly recommend it to anyone looking to relax and enjoy a really good breakfast.

Kairos Valley is set in a peaceful, wooded area, and Datça is beautiful enough that we even thought about staying longer. But when we asked at reception about availability, Mr. Halil's unpleasant response changed our minds. We hadn't made a price offer, yet the conversation started rudely with staff saying they couldn't possibly help us at the reasonable online rate we'd originally booked. We just dropped the idea and checked out. The buggy staff were hardworking and friendly, and gave us good places to visit in Datça. It's a lovely property with unusual facilities, but guests can't really make use of them. The location is secluded as the hotel says, but still only a 10-15 minute drive from Datça center, Old Datça, and the harbor. The grounds are large and surrounded by trees. The retreat itself was quiet, and staff were reachable and generally friendly. I had been impressed by the glowing Google and website reviews, so arrived with high expectations and left disappointed. We enjoyed a ceramics class, one of the many advertised activities. Ece Hanım, who runs the "Fikim Egeden" account, was very sweet and made the two hours enjoyable. We also booked a massage. The spa was clean and pleasant, but access to the spa and the massage cost extra separately. Staff said the sauna and steam room could be opened with advance notice, but we couldn't arrange our holiday in time to use them. The yoga programs are only for certain groups from Thursday through Sunday. As far as I could tell, individual guests can't join sports activities. We stayed four days and couldn't use the gym because it had no air conditioning or ventilation in the August heat. The pool was meant to open at 8 a.m., but cleaning kept us out until 10:30. If you want exercise before breakfast, a walk in nature is the only option in such a large complex. Our room looked spacious and airy at first, with a view of nature, but severe ventilation problems left a strong damp smell. We told reception on the second day and they offered to move us. They also came to inspect the ventilation and tried to help, which I appreciated. Still, by the end of our three days, somehow all our suitcases were wet. I'd heard the food was very good, but breakfast was ordinary, with mediocre products, and didn't excite me. I value being surrounded by nature and don't mind animals, but the restaurant garden was overrun with bees. In the August heat, no one thought to turn on the air conditioning inside.
