Great staff, clean rooms, and a really nice breakfast.

We had such a good send-off on our last day. My boyfriend became ill at checkout, and Ms. Hülya and her team made us feel comfortable before seeing us off so kindly. We’ll definitely come back, see you soon. The rooms and shared areas were spotless, with cleaning every morning, more than we needed. The staff served breakfast at the table and made eggs however you liked, including menemen, fried, or boiled. I didn’t miss deli meats since I don’t like them, though my boyfriend did a little. You could order extra things from the kitchen. We asked for tea one evening, but they didn’t have any. Since we had our own tea, they gave us hot water. Kettles in the rooms would be nice, and the toilet locks and lighting could use a check. There’s a bar where you can get something until late. Datça is truly beautiful, and depending on what you expect, Han Royal Hotel could be one of the best places to stay. The sea is less than a minute away on foot, and their own beach is really beautiful, so there’s no need to look for another one. You can walk to the town center in 10 minutes, staying away from the crowds while still having easy access. We had no parking problems.

We stayed at the hotel with our child, and the room was large and spacious with a very big balcony overlooking the sea. The hotel has its own garden and sun loungers out front, along with quite large umbrellas 😀. The sea is two steps away; it’s pebbly and doesn’t get deep straight away, so water shoes make it easy to enjoy. The room was clean, and breakfast was fresh and adequate, nothing extravagant. They offered to bring more if needed. The staff were friendly and always tried to help. My only request is that drink prices be a little more reasonable. They don’t mind guests bringing their own food and drinks, but the prices seemed high to me. If drinks were more affordable, people might buy them here instead of bringing them from outside.

The location was good and the rooms weren’t bad, but this hotel made paying to be insulted feel like part of the deal. There were no kettles in the rooms, and after the first day they charged extra to leave two small bottles of water. Breakfast was the same standard spread each day, with extremely stingy portions. On our first day the AC didn’t work for a long time. When we called staff, the woman practically scolded us, as if we’d sucked the gas out of it. It eventually started working by itself, but then we couldn’t turn it off or change it, so we spent the whole holiday stuck at 19 degrees. Two days later, she came to fix it, reached toward it, said it was working, and left. Later we heard she was saying bad things about customers behind our backs. We confronted her and only said it was rude to talk that way, but she yelled at us and called us “rude.” We’re cutting the holiday short and going home.
