Hoppala Pension

I loved waking up among the grapes, olive, figs, almond and pomegrenade trees, then having breakfast, reading in a hamock, and jumping into the sea just a few feet away. They even have lounge chairs on the beach. It's such an easy place to unwind and enjoy simple moments. This is a small, simple bed and breakfast with a restaurant right by the sea in a village on Turkey's beautiful coast. The family who owns it is warm and welcoming, like relatives. Every day you choose from their display what you want to eat, and everything is homemade, cooked over a fire cheminey on the restaurant terrace. The vegetables, fruit and olives come from their property, and the fish and octopus are grilled beautifully. There are a couple of newer, posher places nearby now, but the bedrooms here are basic, with no TV, and super clean. What I loved most was how Salih, his daughter Su and his wife Sev cared for us. The pension is so-so. The restaurant and cafe are better.

The family running the restaurant were friendly and very attentive. We loved the appetizers, and especially the grilled dishes, which we chose. We visited the restaurant on a recommendation and were extremely pleased. I'm sure the guesthouse is just as lovely. If you're in the area, you should definitely stop by with complete peace of mind.

Sevgin, Latife, Salih and Su made our holiday peaceful, quiet and enjoyable. We've now settled on where we'll stay in Datca next time. Thank you so much.
