Orcey Hotel

The garden is beautiful, and the place is right by the beach with its own section of the plaza. There’s a pool, parking, and wheelchair access, though the parking has no shade and cars bake in the sun. The workers were friendly and professional, especially Mr. Hasan, the waiter, who speaks fluent English. The food at lunch and dinner was okay, but the breakfast options were limited and not like a typical Turkish breakfast. Restaurant tables are so close together it’s hard to get through. The beach entrance into the water is very narrow. In the room, the air conditioning was noisy even on low fan, and sound isolation wasn’t good. Showering was a challenge because the water swung from very hot to very cold, with no way to set a comfortable temperature. I’m sure management could improve things and make a stay much more pleasant.

For 345 Euro a night, the room was cramped and clearly not suitable for the three people we booked for. The bathroom was about 2 by 2 meters, and breakfast fell short of our expectations. At check-in, nobody could speak English and we had to use Google Translate. The price didn’t match the service. Please stay somewhere else at that rate.

We enjoyed dinner over the water, and the food was good, though a little pricey. The hotel is right on the beach, and the staff were very friendly and professional. The rooms are nice, but the shower is a bit small. The pool’s shallow section could be shallower for shorter guests or children who don’t want to use the kids’ pool. Bring goggles, the sea is salty.

The breakfast was nice, and the beach and pool area were good. The rooms need renovation, the bed was uncomfortable, and the bathroom smelled bad. There were no mosquito nets on the windows. We ordered iced coffee, but it tasted awful and was far too expensive.
