The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the sea is just a five-minute walk away. It’s an ideal spot for a quiet, restful holiday, and the value for money is absolutely there. I’ve stayed at plenty of places that felt less deserving of five stars. We were pleased with everything and will definitely come back. Ms. Hülya made us feel at home and treated us like family. Mr. Cevdet was so attentive, and their friendly conversations helped us relax. The owners were warm too, and everyone came to the door to see us off. Thanks to everyone who made our last four days of vacation so lovely.

We were really pleased by Mr. Can’s helpfulness, his mother Ersel and father Cengiz’s easy conversation, Ms. Hülya’s warm welcome, and her husband Cevdet’s delicious home cooking. It’s a friendly, hospitable family-run place, kept clean and tidy, and it’s quiet and peaceful. Families with children would feel especially at home, though young couples would too. After seeing other bays and parts of Datça, we’re so glad we picked this beautiful spot in Ovabukûn. We feel lucky to have found Sans Apart and wholeheartedly recommend it. ❤️🧿💐

We loved the peaceful garden and landscaping, and the sea was perfectly clean. It’s only 3-4 minutes from the beach, with the hotel’s own sunbeds. The owners are kind and humble, and Ms. Hülya was very attentive. My wife, son, daughter, and I spent four days in a 1+1 apartment. The rooms were neat and clean. We also really enjoyed the carefully chosen breakfasts and dinners. Portions were generous, enough to satisfy you like at an all-inclusive hotel.

The room had plenty of useful things, including a mini-fridge, air conditioning, hairdryer, tea and coffee maker, heater, shampoo, and shower gel. It was spotless, with clean white sheets and pillows, and the mosquito nets kept flies from being a problem. There are eight boutique rooms, split between two floors, plus three single-story apartments in the same garden. The apartments suit larger families better. We were two adults and a child in a boutique room. One issue: we were upstairs, and some floor tiles in the room and on the stairs shifted and squeaked, sending a lot of noise downstairs. I’d suggest fixing them. Our six-year-old is a picky eater, but he never went hungry. The food was delicious, and they were thoughtful about not always adding parsley or basil garnish in case he wouldn’t eat it. Breakfast changed each day and was plentiful: menemen on the first day, kalem böreği the second, and an egg and potato dish on the third. Every day there was a three-cheese plate, spiced çökelek, basil tomato sauce, three jams, honey, and butter. Tea was free; water and soft drinks cost extra. Bees were a problem in the garden dining area at breakfast, perhaps because of the recent fires, so we ate at a picnic table where there seemed to be fewer. The garden is roomy, with swings and picnic tables for kids. We first booked two nights at "Şans Boutique Hotel" and added another when a room opened up. They greeted us and saw us off at the door, and were so friendly that I never felt like a customer. We didn’t care for Ovabük beach because it’s wavy and gets deep quickly. We went to Hayıtbükü for two days instead, where other families were and the water was calm. There’s a spending limit for the sunbeds that suit children. Club Ahoy has a sandy beach and tasty food. On our last day we visited the ancient city of Knidos, then used the beach at the site and saw Siti Bükü and Akvaryum Koyu. They were all beautiful, but water shoes are essential. We were very satisfied and hope to come again next year.

We didn’t love the rocky sea at Ovabükü, so we went to a few other bays nearby. Hayıtbükü is 2 km away, Palamutbükü is 5 km away, and there’s a lovely unnamed bay around 3 km away. We stayed as a family of three for the first three days of September and were very happy with the place. Hülya, the hotel manager, personally looked after everyone, and Necdet Bey’s cooking won over even this picky eater. Thanks to Hülya and her husband, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and guests quickly got to know one another. My only complaint is that some parents don’t remind their children to keep the noise down, which bothers other guests, though that’s not specific to Şans Apart.
