We loved Datça and want to come back. We arrived late without anywhere to stay, called the number listed on Google, and they quickly got back to us and came over to give us a room. From our first-floor place there was a sea view and we could see the restaurants along the waterfront, while the bedroom faced inward and was very quiet. The shower was really good, and the living room and balcony were nice. The French doors only opened halfway, though, and in the evenings cooking oil smell from the restaurant below was strong, so we rarely used the balcony or opened the windows. That’s why I’m giving four stars rather than five. We cooked dinner one night, and the utensils were fine. Just so you know, there were no basics or washing-up liquid, and the bin was tiny.

The owners were friendly and helpful, and their son spoke English. The location is just steps from the beach promenade, with a beautiful bay view even from the first floor. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower pressure was good, and the Wi-Fi was strong. My only gripes were the bathroom fan, which wasn’t good, and a hair dryer that was almost useless. The pillows were a bit hard too.

The proprietor showed me a couple of rooms after I arrived in Datca quite late and spotted this among the few hotels I could find. I chose the one facing the sea. The suite was spotless, with a balcony and two air conditioners. The owner was pleasant and full of useful information. If I return to Datca, this is where I’d want to stay.
