Hotel Palm House

The owner really stood out for his helpfulness. We'd asked for a taxi, but instead he drove us 15 minutes to the start of our hike. This little gem in Demre is less than a 10 minute walk from the city centre, with six individual units arranged around a pool. The smaller units have a comfortable sitting area, a small kitchen, a bathroom, and two lofts, each with a double bed. Our unit was clean and had a nice balcony. Breakfast was a typically good Turkish breakfast. There are plenty of friendly and helpful owners around, and I don't usually mention it just because it's their business, but this owner went further.

I only realized I’d left my brand new iPad behind after we’d checked out and boarded a Sail Turkey cruise. The host messaged me about it, then showed up in his dinghy that same evening while I was having dinner on the boat. He went way out of his way to get it back to me, and even offered us a free ride to the bus station. The accommodation was amazing too. Wish we’d stayed longer. Service 100/10 🥹🫶🏽

The family running the place made us feel very welcome, and breakfast was a real highlight, with lots of fresh homemade food. There are five recently built palm house villas, each cozy and nicely set up with a fully equipped kitchen, around a lovely central pool. A great spot in Demre for either a short visit or a longer stay.

We ended up here by chance with friends and were surprised by how good it was for the price. Everything was very clean, and our little kitchen and bathroom were both in good shape. The Turkish breakfast was fresh and delicious. It’s also in a nice, quiet, safe area, close to both the sea and the center.
