The location, right across from the Kos ferry, is great. The rooms are a bit dated but fine, and the food wasn't very good. Still, you get what you pay for, and I'd happily come back.

The seafront location is fantastic, and I liked that the drinks came in bottles. Considering the price and service, I’d recommend the hotel, but ask about the beds and try to get a room with the newer ones. The rooms could use renovation, though the beds themselves were new. We never used the pool, but it looked nice; I saw it cleaned once during our four days there. The restaurant food was tasty, with dishes such as green beans, chicken with peas, nuggets, and fries. Don’t expect meatballs or chicken as a main choice every time. There were 7-8 salad options at each meal, including spicy paste, and breakfast was adequate. Guests serve themselves, so everyone handles the serving tongs and utensils. I think they need to be careful about that because of the pandemic. Drinks included Marmara and Skoll beers, Coca-Cola, Fanta, and BİM-brand fruit juices. The restaurant staff and the tall young man at reception treated customers very well, and they’re why I gave those stars. I couldn’t understand why the receptionist with glasses was so unhelpful. When we asked for sheets, pillowcases, and bedspreads, he said they had none. On our third day, I told him the beds smelled really bad, and only then did he take them off and give them to us. Otherwise, we’d have had to use the same sheets for all four days. The cafeteria staff didn’t seem bothered by anything we said. I’m attaching photos to keep this brief.

The food was decent, and breakfast was very good. Lunch and dinner were served buffet-style, with salads, cold olive oil dishes, legumes, meat and chicken, and sometimes fish or döner kebab. There was a good drink selection, though I hope they’ve updated the alcohol brands. At a holiday resort, drinks shouldn’t run out at 11 PM. The beach is small and quiet, and people who come in from the side are asked to leave as soon as staff notice them. The main drawback is the loud pop and rap music if you book a room facing the sea, sun, and pool. Most of Turgutreis is within walking distance, and the price is reasonable for what you get, especially since it’s a 3-star hotel at apartment or guesthouse prices. I visited two years ago and wish I could return this year. The reception process was slow, but the rest of the staff were helpful. The rooms are old and need maintenance, but that didn’t bother us since we only used them to sleep. Sheets and towels were changed twice in our five days. If you ask the cleaning staff for daily service, they come each morning and clean the areas you specify. I noticed many guests preferred not to have anyone enter their rooms, so they changed the linens themselves and put the old ones out with the trash, like in an apartment building.

The beach was a narrow strip, about 2 meters wide, covered in trash and debris. The hotel also let people come in to drink water, despite claiming it didn’t accept outside guests. Since I was there with my girlfriend, we sometimes felt uncomfortable swimming in the sea with Syrians. Under the duvet covers and pillowcases, you could see sweat and dirt marks, and it seemed they only changed the covers. On July 27, 2018, I got food poisoning after they served frozen poultry meatballs sold as Sneak. I believe leftovers had been refrozen and served the next day. I called the hotel to report it, but couldn’t find anyone to speak to. Staff said they couldn’t help because only one person had a problem, though I suspect there may have been other cases. They didn’t even offer condolences. I also filed a separate legal complaint using my hospital reports. From what I saw, leftovers were served in different forms in the evening and the following day. If you’re spending your money on a family trip, take all of this into account so you don’t end up regretting it.

The staff were kind and did their best to meet our requests during our six-day stay. The hotel had recently changed hands and, with the pandemic, wasn’t fully prepared. Mr. Efe, the manager, was especially attentive, and Sibel, who handled animation, and Hülya were very helpful too. I especially recommend the boat tour, the boat was peaceful and the bays were beautiful. I think it’s worth the money if you keep your expectations reasonable. I’m surprised by some of the negative reviews. What do people expect, a top-notch hotel in the heart of Bodrum for less than guesthouse prices? If you want everything to be magnificent, you could pay for one night at a Rixos hotel what a week here costs. It’s up to you.
