The room was clean and the location was good, but there were a lot of problems. The hot water barely felt warmer than cold, and Wi-Fi only worked in the lobby. There were no hooks or hangers for clothes, just one power socket in the room, and the air conditioner leaked. The windows wouldn't close fully, and they faced a very noisy roundabout.

We arrived in Demre at night and found that the Airbnb we'd booked had been illegally occupied. The second hotel was also fully booked, even though our payment had gone through, so we were sent to winecity Hotel instead. It's not the fanciest place, but the night staff helped us with everything, and we really appreciated that. Thank you :)

What made this stay so bad was being told only after we arrived, around 8 p.m., that there was no hot water. They’d seen our booking but hadn’t warned us, and wouldn’t discount the room. With no other hotel nearby, we had to stay. The dirty windows, stained carpets, and worn furniture weren’t even the main problem. A hostel at least has hot water.

The staff were friendly, though breakfast was a letdown after the lovely breakfasts we’d had at family pensions. The room itself was clean, but there was water on the toilet seat, probably left from cleaning, and the bathroom had the same unpleasant smell.

The street noise came straight through the windows, so sleeping was completely impossible. The rooms were clean, but the WiFi worked terribly.
