The part I’ll miss most is lunch at the adults’ beach bar. Dilek was so friendly and attentive, and her food was always top notch, served with a smile. We also had a lovely day out on the water with Apollon boat, including swim stops and a beautiful lunch. For getting around, we used Kent taxi (ozzy), who was great and spoke brilliant English. Mehmet at Ozan Kuyumculuk in altinkum Didim was fantastic too. He helped my husband find the gold chain he’d wanted for a long time, along with a matching bracket, and even drove us back to the hotel. His prices are also u beaten. Now it’s our last day, and I really don’t want to leave. The hotel has been fabulous, from the food and cocktails to the pool and lounger service. Everyone working so hard to keep the rooms and grounds spotless has been amazing. My one small wish is that the pool bar opened before 10am so I could get a coffee. Thanks to everyone for making this my favourite trip so far.

The Art Village was such a special touch, with space to try hobbies and be creative, and I loved the painting classes. I’m already looking forward to coming back. The resort sits among wildflowers, with a calming, lovely scent in the air, and its architecture fits naturally into the surroundings. Our room was comfortable and spotless, and there was a great range of food and flavours. The team made us feel very welcome. Thank you to Adem the manager of front desk, Ahmed and Sevda at main restaurant, Mukades from cleaning team on third floor sea view rooms, Ali the bar assistant, Kerem at front door, and all the teachers from painting class. I also appreciated being allowed to check in early. When we had a small technical problem with the television, they upgraded our room, which was a lovely gesture. Everyone seemed ready to help with any request. I’m extremely satisfied with our stay.

We spent 10 days at Akra Didim Resort & Spa in a ground-floor room with pool access. The beach service was excellent, with enough sunbeds and drinks brought right to them, though getting into the sea at the adults-only beach was unpleasant because of sharp broken stones. Staff weren’t rude and did respond when problems came up, but communication varied. Many spoke only very basic English, and some didn’t take much initiative, with little eye contact, no greeting or smile. The food, grounds and facilities are strong points. The main restaurant had a very good range and quality, including meat, fish, cheeses, desserts, sushi, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The gym is large, modern, clean and extremely well equipped. I also liked the workshops and masterclasses, such as clay work, painting and pottery, instead of typical hotel animation. The pools were comfortable, and ours was clean and heated. We had our own sunbeds and a good amount of privacy. The room looked nice and was spacious, but it could use more storage. The TV was awkwardly placed, there wasn’t a proper laptop work area, and the towel hooks were too far from the shower. Housekeeping also missed details: the floors weren’t cleaned well, a dirty glass wasn’t replaced, and the room glasses were swapped around chaotically. The minibar didn’t quite meet Ultra All Inclusive expectations either, with no wine or sparkling wine, spirits supplied only once during the stay, and soft drinks replenished inconsistently. For a new five-star Ultra All Inclusive hotel in 2026, the lack of a useful app or digital guest service is a serious weakness. It’s hard to check the schedule, see a hotel map, book an à la carte restaurant or message guest relations. Navigation is poor as well: we weren’t given a map at check-in, some signs weren’t convenient, and the activity schedule was inconsistent. It’s a beautiful, modern resort with large grounds, stylish design, good bars, comfortable pools and a fantastic gym, and it has plenty of potential. I’d return if service, housekeeping, navigation and digital guest interaction improve. Rating: 8/10.

The pools were excellent, never seemed overcrowded, and the adults-only pool was the highlight. The beach was clean and well maintained, though I’ve liked other beaches in Turkey more. Drink service stayed quick even with only one staff member handling it. The spa was superb and deserves special praise. Our children enjoyed both visits to the Kids Club, despite it seeming small at first. I’d suggest being more alert to children who might be unwell. We took a chance on the newly opened Akra Didim and stayed for a week. Both families got complimentary room upgrades, and the rooms were spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. They were clean, but not quite up to the exceptionally high standard we’ve seen at some other hotels in Turkey. The food at the main buffet was good and generally high quality, but the selection was much the same throughout the week and lacked variety. We also often saw flies around the food. I personally prefer how resorts such as NG Hotels have staff serve the food rather than every guest handling the utensils. The chefs at the meat and fish stations were always kind and happy to cook things exactly as requested. Service was my main disappointment. A few times staff said our requests weren’t their responsibility, and at meals we often waited to be seated while waiters walked past without offering help. Some staff were excellent and quickly helped us find a table. I can’t remember all the names of those who deserve credit, as we thanked them at the time, but Hatice stands out. She genuinely improves a guest’s experience and is a real asset to the hotel. Livar was close to a disaster for us. It began very well, and Ali was kind and attentive, but we left regretting our choice. We were seven people, including three children, and there was effectively no children’s menu beyond fish and chips, which were extremely oily. The adults had too few options because, apparently, Guest Experience had booked more people than the restaurant could accommodate. Trying to reserve an à la carte restaurant had already been confusing: first we were told bookings had to be made before 4:00 p.m., then that all restaurants were full, and finally that only Livar was available the following evening. The communication and organization didn’t feel right. Two problems could easily spoil someone’s holiday. On our last day, a broken glass bottle in our room hadn’t been properly cleaned up, and I got a shard in my foot. Thankfully, my daughter wasn’t in the room then. Our departure arrangements were also poorly communicated. We were told to wait for an envelope with transfer details, but it never came, so we had to chase it ourselves. The resort has great potential, with excellent facilities, rooms, pools and spa. More consistent service, better communication, cleanliness and restaurant management would make a big difference. Rating: 4/5, a beautiful resort with excellent facilities, but some operational issues still need attention.

The coffee and cakes were a treat, the spa was very good, and the pottery making in the kids area was brilliant. We also loved the pool drink service on roller skates. Special thanks to Rabia and Enes on reception, Diyar in the main restaurant & Engine, and Cem in Tan. They were all great and gave brilliant service. We got back from AKRA Didim on Friday after a really enjoyable stay. It’s a lovely looking hotel, clean and spacious. There are a few teething problems with a new place, but they’ll find their way. The à la carte restaurants were half empty, so they could take a leaf from AKRA Fethiye and offer an Italian and Asian option, which were very popular with families there. The main buffet food needs to be hotter, and the cushions should be reversible so you can turn them over when food stains are left behind. Aqua aerobics would be more fun for the whole family like at AKRA Fethiye, and the sandy beach should be for children. The entertainment could use more variety. There were too many jazz acts, and those singers might suit a quieter set up by the fire pit, where it can be very quiet. We’re already looking to re-book. We really enjoyed it.
