Didim Ege Apart 1

The apartments are spacious and clean, so you don’t feel squeezed into a little hotel room. The place is quiet, and the owners are easy to talk to. Didim Ege Apart 1 is close to the beach, restaurants and markets, making it a great choice for anyone who enjoys the sea, sand and a peaceful setting. It works well for families and young people. We had a wonderful holiday, thank you.

We’re very happy with Mr. Mevlut, and we’ve come to feel like family. This is already our fourth visit this year, and I’ve booked again for September, if all goes well. Being close to the sea, with a beach even lovelier than Altınkum and a safe, family-friendly atmosphere, keeps bringing us back. Thanks again to the owner, Mr. Mevlut, and his wife, Mrs. Birgül.

Mr. Mevlüt and his wife gave us such a warm welcome, which put us at ease after worrying about staying in an unfamiliar apartment. Mr. Mevlüt even took his boat out just for us, giving my son and me a day we won’t forget. He saw that my 12-year-old loves fishing and gave him a fishing rod, too. Thank you so much for everything.

The best part of the guesthouse was how close it was to the sea. The water was lovely and warm, the waves calm, and the sand clean, and that’s what made us stay that day. We booked Didim Ege Pension for July 2025 on a family friend’s recommendation, after first being sent photos. But the kitchen looked nothing like them when we arrived. There were no cabinets, dishwasher or kettle, nothing. At over 5,000 TL per night, we ended up cooking with two portable gas stoves and washing dishes by hand on vacation. It felt like camping at times. There wasn’t even liquid or bar soap in the bathroom when we arrived. The pots and pans were old and scratched. A scratched Teflon pan seems risky from a carcinogenic perspective, see image. I opened a cupboard in one room and found discarded pots and pans that had apparently been cleaned before we arrived and stuffed in there. The washing machine was old but worked. The mop and bucket on the terrace were especially dirty, and the pillowcases, supposedly new, didn’t look clean. The living room’s L-shaped sofa was torn and wouldn’t open. They’d put a cloth over the tear, and a plank-like support by one leg kept the already sturdy sofa upright. Thankfully, the owner gave us soap, a new mop, a sponge, pillowcases and a tea maker. Please add a stove and dishwasher for future guests.
