Diyarbakır otel

We’re a family from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, traveling with two small kids, and alhamdulillah we’re very happy we found this hotel. It’s fairly priced and in a strategic location, with a good breakfast and a central mosque nearby. There’s also a bmi convenience store right in front.

We stayed four nights and were satisfied for the price in Turkey at the moment. The hotel is in an excellent location, and the staff would try to help when asked. The rooms are run down, and service is by request. Our large room looked out onto the street, with a desk and chair for working. The windows blocked most noise except when it was exceptionally loud. The shower was good and hot, the aircon worked, the wifi was good, and laundry was available.

The staff were sweet and very forthcoming, and the hotel is in a good spot in Diyarbakir’s old town, right opposite bim. The wifi was almost nonexistent. Our room was quite dirty, with dust on the shelves and small bits of rubbish left by previous guests. The bathroom didn’t work properly: the shower leaked and left water all over the floor, and the hair dryer was broken. The beds creaked loudly, and there was a cigarette smell on the sheets and sometimes in the bathroom.

I’d like to know before booking: can an unmarried couple stay together in one room at this hotel? Thank you.
