We had a reasonable short stay at Tehran Boutique Hotel, about a 30-minute drive from the Bazargan border crossing. It felt like one of the more standard choices nearby, with a central location and good restaurants close by. Reception gave us helpful suggestions for local places to eat. There's also a small backyard where we relaxed and played backgammon, plus a bar and mini bar in the rooms, which seemed unusual for this area. The hotel is fairly clean and has a charming small setup, with only two rooms on each floor. But sound carries through the thin walls, and we could clearly hear people talking in neighboring rooms. That could be tough if you're a light sleeper or want privacy. The bathroom floor was very slippery, and I fell once, so be careful. Non-slip flooring or mats would help. Breakfast was very basic, mostly bread, jam, olives, and a few spreads. Don't expect hot dishes or a big buffet. It worked for a night stopover or short visit, though a few things could be improved.

The location is in the city center, with restaurants easy to get to. Rooms are modern, with balconies, kettles, fridges, and air conditioning. Breakfast was good in the restaurant on the 7th floor, and there's also a bar serving alcohol. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant. Parking didn't look easy, though we didn't have a car.

We had a good one-night stay in a very clean, quiet hotel. Yunus Ilhan at reception welcomed us warmly and was kind and good-natured. Being able to bring our small, quiet dog helped us a lot, since the hotel is animal friendly. The room, balcony, and bathroom were very clean, and the cooling system worked well. Towels were spotless, though they smelled a little damp. Breakfast was complete and clean, but there weren't any hot options. The hotel is on an alley, with a parking lot out front that we could use. A very good hotel for this city.

The staff were great at suggesting places to eat, ways to get around, and local attractions. Breakfast was a full Turkish spread included in the price, with lots of good options and a beautiful mountain view. Sunrise made for remarkable views. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with nice beds and pillows, a kettle, free tea and coffee, and a minibar with non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. There's a window between the bedroom and bathroom, which some guests might find odd, but a curtain gives privacy. It wasn't an issue for us and shouldn't put you off booking.

A perfectly fine hotel, and very good for the area. We enjoyed our stop. The rooms were comfortable and reasonably spacious, though the shower was very cramped to get in and out of. The breakfast buffet was better than at most of the other hotels we stayed at around Van.
