The garden out front was pleasant, and the hotel is handy for the ferry. My room was 404, though it was a bit dirty, with missing or broken bathroom fittings, a grimy carpet, and large patches of wallpaper missing on the stairs. The stair railing felt very unstable, and breakfast was poor. The window looked out onto an ugly view. It works for a cheap night in transit.

Breakfast was generous and really nice, and the room was clean. The shower enclosure had mould and needs a proper clean. Wi-Fi only worked in the lobby, even though there are routers on every floor. Connecting to those gave no internet, just an exclamation mark next to the Wi-Fi symbol on my phone. That gets tiresome, so please fix it.

The beds were comfortable, and breakfast had plenty of options, but the bread was stale and the meal wasn't great. The bedroom walls were dirty, and so was the sheet.
