Gür Hotel

This seems like a fairly new hotel, and the rooms, decor and indoor facilities all look new. The room itself was pleasant, clean, and everything worked. I was especially impressed by the decor in the shared spaces. The motion-activated lights switch off too fast, though. You only need to stand still for a few seconds before you're left in the dark. It took a while for someone to help when I first arrived. Reception also insisted on taking the stairs to show me the room, even though I'd just cycled 60 miles and was clearly tired. WiFi was fine, but in my room it felt like the signal was blocked by a wall. Once I stood up and moved toward the door, it connected easily and the signal was strong. Breakfast was superb. It's the best I've had in Turkey, even compared with hotels costing three times as much.

The rooms are roomy and comfortable, with everything you need for a night. Breakfast is available, and there's parking right in front. The hotel is beside the beach, though you'll need to use a tunnel to get there.

I stopped by on a whim during my big Turkey trip, just looking for a room. The breakfast and warm hospitality convinced me to stay longer. Everyone was smiling, and getting to the beach was easy. I'd come back if I'm in the area again.

The beach they advertise is narrow and crowded, and breakfast was cheap. Our room also wasn't the one we had booked online. The staff didn't seem professional, and the hotel sits in an overcrowded area on a busy road. The service was bad.
