This is a great base for driving around Assos and the other natural sights in the area. It’s a boutique place to stay, close to the sea while still up in the mountains. We felt at home and had a lovely three days, thanks to Deniz Bey’s hospitality and guidance. I also enjoyed İskender Bey’s books about the region.

After our own home, this is now our second place to stay. Deniz and Suzan, the lovely couple who run it, made us feel completely at home. Their cultural and nature tours gave us a holiday experience that was truly different. Thank you, Azatoğlu family.

It feels more like staying at a friend’s farmhouse than being a hotel guest, thanks to the welcoming family and the natural surroundings. The food is excellent, especially the dishes made with olive oil. Be sure to try the olive oil they make themselves from the 52-acre grove in the middle of the property ;)

The farmhouse sits among olive trees, with a beautiful sea view and nature all around. It’s clean, and the owners are so friendly they feel like family. Tuncel Kurtiz’s tomb, in Camlibel, is just 4-5 minutes away. I actually like that the place isn’t right by the sea. The one issue is the Wi-Fi, which is available but not very good. 🙋‍♂️

After a week away from the coast’s chaos, coming back to the city felt like waking from a dream. Our family of 13 found peace in the fresh air from the Kaz Mountains and the view over Edremit Bay. We used the booklet Deniz gave us to explore a few hiking trails, passing streams, fountains, and villages along the way. Thank you, Deniz, for your warmth. I call him “brother,” and hope we’ll meet again. Ahmet Aydın...
