Munzur hostel

We were there for around two months, and it was hard to get a decent night's sleep. There were loads of mosquitoes, and insect spray and other remedies didn't help. The air conditioners barely worked as heaters and seemed faulty. The water heater tripped the breaker as soon as it started warming the water, so showers were cold. After we'd paid, they still asked us for the room key three days before we left, apparently so they could rent the room to someone else. There are better, cheaper places nearby. And if you want a quiet night, avoid rooms where the beds are right next to each other. The moaning went on until morning and could drive you mad.

No upkeep at all. The rooms are freezing, and rain leaks in. Cleanliness and service are both at zero.

I had to give it one star, but nothing about the service or rooms deserves a rating. It's a terrible place.

Mosquito bait is a must, or they'll keep you awake all night. I stopped here while on a bike tour and ended up being the only guest, which gave it a nice family feel. The room was pleasant, and the sheets and everything else were clean. The shower was fine as long as you weren't expecting luxury, since it's an instant water heater. I'd happily come back again.
