The restaurant's meat was very dry, so I wouldn't eat there again. The hotel itself is okay, though there's nothing particularly special about it. Rooms feel old and could use an update. The air conditioning only blows hot air even when set to "cold," and some windows can't be opened. Shower water pressure keeps fluctuating. Also, no one speaks English.

The staff were helpful and nice, which was the one good part of my stay. The breakfast food was bland, though decent. For a hotel as well known as akgun hotel, I expected it to be more up to date, since so much felt outdated. My room had air conditioning, but it never cooled down, and I sweated every night, even after they changed my room. Then the lock stopped working and I got locked out. They moved me to a room half the size, then moved me again to one with broken air conditioning and a view over rooftops.

The staff were kind, and parking felt secure. Rooms were a normal size and clean to German standards. Breakfast was plentiful, with a decent espresso, which you don't often find in Turkey.

I'd stay here again on my next visit. The 24/7 food service and the pool for daytime use were great, and there's also an attached mall and fitness room. Rooms look a little old fashioned, but still feel luxurious for what they cost. The hotel is close to a road lined with shops and places to eat at night.

Breakfast is generous and good, and the rooms are clean enough. It's a decent place to stay in Elazig. English is almost impossible, so give yourself extra time when checking out.
